Farewell Assembly
Relive the highlights of JPJC's inaugural Farewell Assembly, where the first batch of students celebrated the end of their junior college journey with speeches, gifts, and the launch of the College Anthem.
Farewell Assembly 2019 was held on 11 October 2019. This milestone event marked the last day of formal lessons for the first batch of JPJC students and was celebrated by the JPJC family which consisted of all stakeholders of the college. In celebration of their journey in junior college, students has their own class celebrations in the morning followed by a session for them to do up their customary mortar hats for graduation and class bonding time.

After the Civics Assembly session, the Farewell Assembly officially kickstarted with arrival of the distinguished Guest of Honour (GOH) Mr Lim Teck Yin. He was accompanied by the members of the Alumni, College Advisory Committee and School Leaders. The GOH and JPJC Principal, Dr Hang shared his well wishes and advice for the students in their respective speeches. The event also featured many exciting items but the most entertaining were the departmental well wishes which were done with much creativity and humour.

The Graduation Ceremony saw the class managers show appreciation to their Civic Tutors (CTs) with various gifts while the CTs presented the students with customised EZ Link cards that featured their names. Not to be outdone, the Parents Support Group did their fair share for the event as well. They did a video, balloon sculptures for decoration and a photo booth for the students to capture memories with their peers. They also collaborated with the Student Council to prepare gifts for the J2s as well. The Alumni also shared their well wishes and updated alumni matters.

The finale saw the launch of the College Anthem which was beautifully sung by the Student Council and the Choir. The event came to a close with the cohort tossing their mortar hats to the cue of the SC President and the blast of the party poppers. A fitting end to a memorable day for our first batch of JPJC students!
