At JPJC, we deeply value the partnership between parents and the college in supporting our students on their academic and personal journeys. Through our Parent Engagement Sessions, we aim to strengthen relationships with parents and provide them with essential information to better support their children.
J2 Parent Engagement Session (7 February 2025)
Our Principal, Mr. Kevin Ang, shared an overview of the J2 students' experiences in 2024 and how they have been coping so far. Our J2 Year Head, Mr. Subash Ramiah, outlined key milestones and expectations for the A-Level year, providing a clear roadmap for the journey ahead.
Parents also gained valuable perspectives from Senior ECG Counsellor, Ms. Michelle Lee, who offered insights into higher education and career pathways, equipping them to better guide their children in making informed decisions. Additionally, Senior School Counsellor, Mrs. Estelle Ow, introduced practical coping strategies that have been shared with students, to help parents support their children emotionally and mentally through this crucial year.
J2 Parent Engagement Session
J1 Parent Engagement Session (28 February 2025)
For J1 parents, especially those new to the JC system, this session provided an insightful introduction to JC life, expectations, and the support structures available at JPJC. Principal Mr. Kevin Ang, Vice-Principal Mr. Jaron Pow, and J1 Year Head Mr. Koh Chit Siong discussed the transition to JC life and introduced the JPJC Self-Regulation Framework, which empowers students to take ownership of their learning.
The session concluded with a sharing by Head of Corporate Development, Ms. Veronica Low, alongside PSG Chairperson, Ms. Navy Tan, who highlighted the significance of strong partnerships between parents and the college in ensuring students' holistic development.
J1 Parent Engagement Session
In both engagement sessions, parents had the opportunity to connect with their child’s Civics Tutors and Key Personnel through meaningful conversations and shared experiences. They gained insights into their child’s progress in their JP journey and discussed ways to collaborate in empowering every student to succeed.
