Racial Harmony Day Carnival
On 21 July 2026, the college hosted the Racial Harmony Day Carnival for J1 and J2 students, following a preparatory Civics lesson the previous day. Jointly organized by the NESL, CEC, and the Houses of Aquila, Taurus, and Volans, the event featured 10 cultural booths, six House booths, and two traditional game escape rooms. Students brought color to the day by wearing ethnic costumes, and the event concluded with a memorable cohort-wide photograph with staff.
The Racial Harmony Day Carnival was conducted on 21 July 2026 as part of the college’s commemorative programme for the year, complemented by a Civics lesson conducted the day before. The carnival was a collaborative effort involving the National Education and Service Learning Committee (NESL), Community Engagement Council (CEC), and the Houses of Aquila, Taurus and Volans.
Both J1 and J2 students participated in the carnival concurrently, engaging in booth activities organised by the respective committees. There were 10 cultural booths featuring Eurasian, Thai, Filipino, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, Malay, Burmese and Korean cultures led by the CEC. There were also six House booths and two escape rooms featuring traditional games, providing students with opportunities to learn about different cultures in an interactive and engaging manner.
Students were also encouraged to come dressed in their ethnic costumes, which added colour and vibrancy to the event. The carnival concluded with a cohort photograph involving both students and staff, providing a meaningful and memorable close to the commemorative event.
